 My short film is a mystery-thriller that tells the story of a girl who is in the process of moving, however this night takes a dark turn. As the night progresses, the girl starts noticing things around the house that are unusual. While in the process of moving, the girl is trying to get things done while also trying to figure out what is going on. In the end, the unexpected plot twist being that someone was within her house and followed her to her new place shows the uncomfortable reality that danger is everywhere and that this is a scary world we live in nowadays. This not only serves as a plot twist but also serves as a mirror reflecting the inherent flaws of the human psyche.  I am finally back to film. It is the weekend now and all of my actors are free. This means that I can finally get to film some of the last bit of scenes that I need to wrap up my short film. Which is what I did. After the transition I wanted to film the ending of the escape room. Finally, the weekend has arrived, granting me the opportunity to resume filming with all of my actors available. With everyone's schedules aligned, I'm eager to capture the remaining scenes necessary to complete my short film. The prospect of bringing the project to a close fills me with excitement and anticipation. Setting up for the filming session, I ensure that all equipment is in place and ready to go.  Due to one of my actors working this entire week, I’ve decided to work on something else. And my film I wanted to film the beginning of the escape room and have a transition into the end. So this is what I decided to do. Since I can no longer do any filming until my actors are free, I decided to work on this. For this, I had to download an app. Due to me, working on prior projects, I feel as though this will come to me naturally. Which I was right. I took the time to get this transition out-of-the-way so that my next step could be to do the last bit of scenes and just wrap it up and then finish it off with my editing. I'm back! After pushing back filming I finally get to resume. My actors and I have only shot a little bit of a short film. Due to that today I wanted to get to work. I left no time for anything to happen. I wanted to go perfect so that we could have more stuff done. Which thankfully went well. Today I got to film some more of my actors. The scene that I had to film today it was more entertaining. This scene also has introduced to the audience. What is going to go on. Today I had filled my actors beginning to participate in the escape room. I wanted to film this because I felt as if it was more calm. Today I was setback. Today I had another mishap with my filming. Today was the first day of the week and one of my actors has to work this week. Unfortunately, as a result to my actors work schedule, I have to push back the filming. I have to push back the filming to this weekend so that I can have all my actors together. This may be a setback, but it is not a major one. It is one that can be easily fixed. As I have done before I am going to just push back the filming schedule and just work on other aspects of my short film. Encountering setbacks in the filming process is an inevitable part of the journey, and today was no exception.  Today we had a minor setback. We had a minor set back in the filming process. Nonetheless, we are going to continue on another day normally. One of my actors in fortunately had plans today. One of my actors having plans resulted in us, having to put off the filming for another day. even though we had a setback, I still continued, and did work. I decided that I wanted to work on my film even though I wasn’t going to be able to film. Just because I wasn’t able to film doesn’t mean that I wasn’t going to be able to at least get some work done.  Today’s the day. today’s the day that I started the filming process with my actors. After discussing with my actors their schedule, we decided that today could be the perfect day for us to film. My actors were all on the same page that they were free today and were willing to be filmed. today was a short filming session, but nonetheless, we got some progress down. Today we filmed the opening scenes. By opening things I mean where the audience gets to see what they are doing and who are these people.   I have decided to talk to my actors as my second step. I made this decision of doing this next specifically, because today is Friday. I told to do this today because this gives my actors a heads up. Which also gives them a head notice. When I say, I talked to my actors, I mean, I let them know that I want them to do this film. I let them know that I wanted them to do this film and what my phone was about. I made sure that they were interested in being in my film and that they could. We talked about their schedule to make sure that they are free for the days that we want to film. I moved my filming schedule around my actors to ensure that I was actually getting my work done.  I started the process. I have finally started my short film. When I say that I mean, I have started taking action about it. So far, I am really just planning everything out making sure everything is sorted out. What I mean by this is where this is all going to be taking place and just everything I need in order to film. this is what I decided to do to start off this whole process.   In this blog I will be discussing how I have my filming process planned out. I intend on filming whenever I can. Which this will most likely be during the weekend. “The Wanderer” by Mark O’Brien and Jake Wilkins is also a short film that falls under the mystery/thriller genre. This short film has many elements that fit into our chosen mystery genre. This short film is based on a male traveler who arrives at a secluded house in the evening. While looking for shelter, he meets a young couple who appear to be around his age. They invite him to dinner, but later the women become uneasy. This leads to questions like: "Is it possible that the nomadic serial killer plaguing the area has invaded their home” "Will they survive the night” ``The Wanderer'' was produced in such a way that the reader asks the question, ``What happens next'' In this case, sound/noise is used. The film is quieter and less noisy, allowing readers to maintain a less abrupt approach.   In this blog we will be watching a mystery short film titled "The Last Note". I plan to explore and study the conventions of     this short mystery film to     help me apply these conventions to my short film. So let's get started. The first thing you notice at the beginning of the movie     is the music used. The music used in this film was very dark and suspenseful, and the pace was constant throughout. We also paid attention to lighting. The lighting was very dark and     looked like it had been filtered during editing. You can see     the music     playing throughout the     beginning     of the movie. You can see various camera edits.   The movie I wanted to see was "Whittling Away" by True Intent. The film has an interesting use of camera angles, movement, and mise-en-scenes. The first thing that struck me was the use of sound. The film begins with the soothing ambient sounds of a forest. This gives the film a very calm and relaxed atmosphere. Light, relaxing, lo-fi teenage music     begins to play, adding a sense of calm to the movie. The sounds suddenly stopped as the     girl revealed that she had a knife. The sudden turn of events is shocking and tells the viewer that this scene may not be as peaceful as it seems. This is a common trick in mystery movies to make the viewer believe that everything is normal. As we transition to the next scene, the setting changes from the forest to a seemingly normal house. With this change in environment, the lighting changed dramatically, moving from the cool tones of the forest to the bright, warm lighting of the home. Dark forest lighting is common in...

  This video is all about family. The two daughters are shown lying in bed, but their interest is piqued when they hear mysterious sounds coming from the house. It turns out that her mother has gone insane, so the two daughters must fight for their     safety and survival with their mother out for her blood. The most common camera angle     in the film was a medium-angle camera shot, focusing primarily on the upper body of the daughter as she tries to solve the mystery of the sound. Tracking shots were also rampant as we followed the same girl as she stood up and walked towards the commotion during the investigation. Surveillance cameras returned to her daughter when she realized that her mother had killed her father. These tracking shots give the impression that everything was filmed in one long take of her, as if the audience were there with her daughter.   "Write what you have the resources for" is a powerful adage to follow when creating plots and screenplays. We can only write with what we have we are limited in what we can do due to the lack of cameras and microphones for filming. I know it takes time to edit and pace a movie since you only have 5 minutes, you have to be careful about how much to photograph and how much to cut. Overshooting is the best option, but you need to make sure the plot     doesn't need to be fully fleshed out to make sense. There needs to be     some balance, every scene needs to contribute something towards the ending, there's no room for fill-in-the-blanks. Also, the movie isn't very predictable, but it could use a Groundhog Day-type plot, which makes this difficult.   Today I would like to talk about the comparison between La Jetée and 12 Monkeys. I found Le Jetée to be a fascinating lo-fi sci-fi time travel story.    Le Jetée is considered a photo novel and    not fully a film. A cumulative power is created when images flow together with sound. In fact, the entire film is a meditation on the passage of time. Le Jetée has more than 400 images, some of which are repeated, but it is the variation in    usage that makes the overall effect so effective clean cuts for traditional shots, orientation for reverse shots, and dissolves or dissolves for a more dream-like atmosphere. Long retention times allow you to capture and explore specific images. Sound is usually used very subtly, and sometimes visual elements are emphasized more clearly.
