This is my 12 to 15 minute long CCR video for my opening sequence. I hope you enjoyed me talking about my opening sequence and answering the questions that I was asked. I made this video to be an interview so that it was more creative and fun.

Production Blog: That’s a Wrap

This is the end. I have wrapped up everything. This process has definitely been a learning experience. I started our filming process March 6th and finished April 13th. During our filming process we made sure to have some of our shots a little longer than necessary. I did this just to be on the safe side. Due to this we had to cut some of them to make them shorter. I kept certain seconds that really showed the best part of the whole shot. I kept the parts of the shots that really showed the entire setting and was more focused. Once my group member and I wrapped up this part we continued onto the next scenes. With some of the other scenes I also had to cut them. Once I wrapped up cutting my scenes we I got to the more tricky part. The tricky part being playing the music over the scenes and fixing the volume of everything. This was tricky because I had to make sure is playing throughout the whole video as well as making sure the volume was good. When doing this process I how to put the m

Production Blog: Finishing the Title Designs

Today my group completed the editing process. Editing continued, starting with completing the title design with the opening sequence. I started this because I was halfway through the last time I worked on an edit. Then I added a transition. First, I added a transition between each title card. Then I added transitions between each scene. Transitions between scenes improve the flow of the opening sequence. After the transition, he muted one in the scene. We muted this scene so we can add some exciting music. Adding exciting music made this scene stand out. This scene stood out because there was no other tone to offset the exciting music, which is why this exciting music stood out in this scene. I then added a squeaky sound to the opening sequence. Unfortunately, the team alone could not make these sounds, so we did this. The floor I recorded was completely squeaky, so I couldn't make a squeak sound. So there is no way for me to generate sound. This made me and my teammates decide to

Production Blog: Editing the Title Designs

Today I began working on my Title designs. These title designs we’re going to be The part of my opening sequence where it shows who the Director and everything else is. Today I was only able to get halfway through this process. Nonetheless, I still  made some serious progress.  I made sure that there was only one name at a time on each “slide”. On which, I had to make sure that the font colors and sizes of everything remained the same throughout the entirety of all of the title designs. I also indicated the spacing between characters, I made sure that that is will remain the same for each one. I had already discussed with my partner how I’m supposed to put this within the opening sequence of our movie. I had to make sure that everything lasted the right amount of time to make sure that I am not going out of the time limit.  Doing so I made  the titles look consistent. The same applies to fade-ins and fade-outs and the length of time each track is displayed on screen. I have already st

Production Blog: Wrapped Up

Image
Today I wrapped up my filming process. I filmed scenes eleven and twelve. Those scenes were the last two needed. In scene eleven I filmed someone banging on the front door. I also filmed the daughter and mother getting startled by that. When filming the scene I had to make sure everything was perfect. When I say everything I mean in terms of lighting, camera, angles, etc. I had to do a couple of takes just to make sure that I get the perfect take. In some of the takes that I did not use there were some background noises that were very overwhelming. In some of the takes that I did not use because my iPhone was angled wrong. I shot this scene using my iPhone because of the quality. The biggest concern for this scene was the lighting. I needed to ensure the lighting gave the scene a spooky feeling. A feeling that would be felt through the screen. Then I wrapped this scene up and began scene twelve. In scene twelve this is where I filmed the creaking floor. In the scene I had to be very ca
