Production Blog: Wrapped Up

Today I wrapped up my filming process. I filmed scenes eleven and twelve. Those scenes were the last two needed. In scene eleven I filmed someone banging on the front door. I also filmed the daughter and mother getting startled by that. When filming the scene I had to make sure everything was perfect. When I say everything I mean in terms of lighting, camera, angles, etc. I had to do a couple of takes just to make sure that I get the perfect take. In some of the takes that I did not use there were some background noises that were very overwhelming. In some of the takes that I did not use because my iPhone was angled wrong. I shot this scene using my iPhone because of the quality. The biggest concern for this scene was the lighting. I needed to ensure the lighting gave the scene a spooky feeling. A feeling that would be felt through the screen. Then I wrapped this scene up and began scene twelve. In scene twelve this is where I filmed the creaking floor. In the scene I had to be very cautious with the sound.  In some of the takes that I did not use there were some background noises that were very overbearing. That way the creaking of the floor is the main or only thing you can hear. That is where I wrapped that scene up. Now I can began my editing process and work on putting everything together.
