Filming Blog

  On October 1st, my group and I started the filming process. We made a filming plan for our group because we knew we would not be able to film all of the scenes in one day. We have nearly all six of our scenes filmed we have one scene left to be filmed, which is the last scene where one of our actors is going to be talking. We have yet to film it because our actor wasn't available. We will be filming that scene October 6th during the day so we can get good and natural lighting. My mother bought our prop which was a Fiji water bottle we used that in half of the scenes. In the scenes that we filmed we had to make sure that there wouldn't be any or a lot of background noises that would cause the actors to not be heard. Due to a specific locations of ours being next to traffic we had to wait for the cars to stop to start filming. We had to take multiple takes for the scenes with our actors. We took multiple because we had to make sure that everything was perfectly set up and just to get multiple options so we could have the best take for the scenes. My group member and I directed an even amount of scenes. Today my group and I filmed our 5th scene. This scene was at our pool location. At the pool my group member directed while i was making the waves and splashes in the water. We made sure that we kept working like that so no one felt as if the other was doing more work. In the scenes with the actors my group mate set up the placements of where they should be along. We made sure that at the times we were filming the locations had no one walking around. We did this to prevent having people walking around in the scenes as well as trying to prevent any unnecessary noises. These scenes did not take much time to film at all. The scenes did not even take 30 minutes to film. This was perfect because that gave us more time to make sure the set up is correct as well as everything else. On October 6th my group and I will be filming our last scene that is needed for this commercial.

  "Write what you have the resources for" is a powerful adage to follow when creating plots and screenplays. We can only write with what we have we are limited in what we can do due to the lack of cameras and microphones for filming. I know it takes time to edit and pace a movie since you only have 5 minutes, you have to be careful about how much to photograph and how much to cut. Intro Blog: The Nerves

Hello, it's me again. I prepared myself mentally  for this particular project. I was completely nervous about this project before, but now I think I'm ready. I'm a little worried, but overall I'm calm. I'm worried that my job will be unstable, that something will go wrong when I shoot, that the image will be problematic. I may have some questions, but overall I'm looking forward to filming and getting back on set. I was nervous before because I had no experience creating videos like this. Now that I'm working alone, I'm even more nervous. This time, no one gave me constructive criticism or stood out. After talking about it and learning more about it, I felt calmer and less nervous. Because I knew I couldn't get lost. Instead, I wanted to be prepared for whatever was to come. After subsequent projects I gained some experience that I will definitely use for this project. Group Blog: Going Solo

I’m back and ready for something new. I decided to switch it up and this time I chose to work alone. I have tried to work with others before and although it wasn’t bad I feel as if I want to go at my own paste. Something I didn’t enjoy with working with someone else was having to depend on them. I rather be working independently and that way I know I’m doing the best I can do. Working by myself can benefit me in many ways, working alone allows me to take full control and make decisions without relying on others. I can develop a strong sense of self-discipline when working independently, as I’ll need to stay focused and motivated. I have the freedom to set your my own schedule and work at my own pace, which can be a big advantage. Working alone gives me the space to explore my own ideas and think outside the box without any external influences.
