1. How does your product use or challenge conventions AND how does it represent social groups or issues?
My product challenges conventions because conventions are the generally accepted ways of doing something, but with my product we switched it up and made it different. We did this by adding in people who were communicating with the audience. This represents social groups due to it having two or more people interacting with one another. The actors in my product were interacting and communicating with the audience.
2. How does your product engage with audiences AND how would it be distributed as a real media text?
My product engages the audience through communication and visuals. The communication is so the audience feels as if they are being directly addressed, meanwhile the visuals just draw the audience in and grab the attention of the audience. My product would be distributed as a real media text by having my commercial appear on YouTube specifically on informal or nature-related channels.
3. How did your production skills develop throughout this project?
Through this project my production skills have developed. When I say developed, I am talking about how I now obtain a good research background, plan thoroughly, as well as frequently using an outsider's perspective of my work in progress.
4. How did you integrate technologies – software, hardware and online – in this project?
In this project I integrated technologies by using my iPhone camera as well as an iPad to record. I used my iPad and iPhone to store all my clips and shots. I used a software called CapCut to edit those clips and shots. When I say editing, I mean the visuals, cutting scenes, music, etc.
