This PowerPoint document contains all the information about what the title should be in the movie's opening sequence. There is a name for each title and what to call it. It shows the fonts, colors and sizes to use. I also indicated the spacing between characters. The tentative titles of each title are also posted on Google Slides. We've already talked about how the title transitions into the movie and how long each one is on screen. is to I used the same size, color, and font for each title to make the titles look consistent. For our project, we chose to shoot at my home or apartment complex. That's because I do not need a lot of space for filming. Janiaya and Janae are all here and we can start shooting. Another good thing about this place is the security included. All of our parents agreed to let us film at this location. My parents also agreed to have an adult supervise us at all times in case something went wrong. When using something that is dangerous if used incorrectly, an adult will always be there in case of emergency. Another safety aspect of the community is that it has 24/7 security, making it safe to shoot after dark if necessary. The condo is gated for extra safety and comfort. Our group is not involved in any after school activities that would make it hard to schedule a filming time.  Jennifer's House We see a young women named Jennifer sitting down on her couch alone. On her couch she is reading out loud about a serial killer on the loose to herself. Jennifer (To herself) Breaking News!  The San Antonio Police Department is dispelling rumors of a serial killer on the loose in the city. “We have found no factual basis on these claims,” SAPD posted on Facebook.  It’s the same social media site where dozens of people have been posting and sharing posts warning others that a serial killer was targeting female victims. The posts have also been seen on Twitter and Reddit claiming that nine women had been murdered so far.  SAPD said they are aware of the posts and wanted to reassure the public to not be alarmed, calling the posts “unsubstantiated.” Jennifer (To her mom) Oh my god mom!   While researching the opening sequence for the final project, I came across the Art of the Title website. This website provides you with multiple resources. This website offers multiple opening sequences for many movies and shows. While looking for horror movies, I came across the opening sequence of a movie called Dead Silence and decided to do some research on the movie. In addition to the haunting sounds and music, the opening sequence of the movie Dead Silence has some eerie and disturbing visuals. Several titles are shown during the opening sequence. The first title that appears is the studio that produced the movie Universal Pictures. They edited and confirmed the title on the moon while the plane was flying. I saw the Final Destination title sequence on the Art of the Title website. The first title featured in the opening sequence was the filmmakers New Line Cinema. The next titles on display were film producers Warren Zide and Craig Perry. After that, the next title was the name of the movie "Final Destination". The sequence listed the names of the main cast members one by one, followed by the names of the main characters who worked behind the scenes. These include casting directors, costume designers, music directors, editorial managers, production designers, camera directors, executive producers, co-producers and script directors. The opening sequence ends with "Directed by James Wong". In the opening sequence, the preferred images are dark images related to the plot of the film.   BLOG #4 artofthetitle The titles displayed in the opening sequence are the presentation, production, starring actors, name of the movie, music by, casting by, associate producer, special visual effects by, edited by, art director, production designer, director of photography, executive producers, authors, producers, and lastly the director.  Dark, setting images are prioritized in this opening sequence. For example, there are at least two scenes that are recorded during night time.  These images have creepy connotations because of the unknown in the dark, or shadow areas. The film establishes a feeling of horror from the outset with the dark setting in the prioritized images. The dark scenes and creepy inaudible music are used to ensure that the film appeals to its target audience.  Technology has been used effectively in this opening sequence by editing. For example, the title cards being embedded in the opening sequence.

  BLOG #3 artofthetitle The titles displayed during the opening sequence are the name of the movie, the director, starring actors, hair and make up artist, costume and production designers, music, Director of photography, executive producers, co-producers, producer, and author and director.  The images prioritized in the opening sequence are the creepy looking clown, the vulgar image of the murdered man, and a woman creating a costume. These images have scary/creepy connotations. The film establishes a feeling of horror by focusing on images that portray creepiness and/or weariness. The anticipating music, the edited title cards in red, and creepy scenes are used to ensure that the film appeals to its target audience Technology has been used effectively to portray the horror genre in the opening sequence. This was done with certain editing techniques like embedding the title cards.
