Production Blog: Making Some Progress

 On March 7th, my group started filming. I started to prep for the filming around 6:30-7pm. I started to prep by changing into a casual outfit that fits the scene. Then I opened some lighting. I bought the lighting on Amazon and it was actually pretty cheap. The setup only took at most 10 minutes. This includes setting up 3 lights. After this I made sure to clean the scene we were recording on. I started to clean the scene by picking up dog toys. Then I removed any pee pads that might have been on scene because I was recording at home and have dogs. Next, I vacuumed the couch. I did this because the main actor was going to be sitting on the couch. After this I fluffed the pillows. Lastly, I set up the lighting and set up my camera with the tripod on the scene. After this I put up a doggy gate to ensure that my dogs would not be interfering with my groups filming. Before we started to film I ensured that my iPad was fully charged. I did this because my iPad is the main prop in my groups opening sequence. Then finally, my group started to film! We filmed both our first and second scenes. Now my group has 2 scenes down and are ready to continue progressing in our filming process.

  "Write what you have the resources for" is a powerful adage to follow when creating plots and screenplays. We can only write with what we have we are limited in what we can do due to the lack of cameras and microphones for filming. Intro Blog: The Nerves

Hello, it's me again. I prepared myself mentally  for this particular project. I was completely nervous about this project before, but now I think I'm ready. I'm a little worried, but overall I'm calm. I'm worried that my job will be unstable, that something will go wrong when I shoot, that the image will be problematic. I may have some questions, but overall I'm looking forward to filming and getting back on set. I was nervous before because I had no experience creating videos like this. Now that I'm working alone, I'm even more nervous. This time, no one gave me constructive criticism or stood out. After talking about it and learning more about it, I felt calmer and less nervous. Because I knew I couldn't get lost. Instead, I wanted to be prepared for whatever was to come. After subsequent projects I gained some experience that I will definitely use for this project. Group Blog: Going Solo

I’m back and ready for something new. I decided to switch it up and this time I chose to work alone. I have tried to work with others before and although it wasn’t bad I feel as if I want to go at my own paste. Something I didn’t enjoy with working with someone else was having to depend on them. I rather be working independently and that way I know I’m doing the best I can do. Working by myself can benefit me in many ways, working alone allows me to take full control and make decisions without relying on others. I can develop a strong sense of self-discipline when working independently, as I’ll need to stay focused and motivated. I have the freedom to set your my own schedule and work at my own pace, which can be a big advantage. Working alone gives me the space to explore my own ideas and think outside the box without any external influences.
