Production Blog: Railing Garland and Window Lights

My next day for filming was on December 1st. I started our filming process by filming our scenes with our actors decorating with garland and decorating with lights. The scenes were filmed in the neighborhood I live in. This was a great time to record because the two actors that were planned to be in these scenes were available at the time. This day of filming added two more completed scenes to the production of our music video. I had the Director bring the group props. These props included garland and lights. Prior to the recording of the two scenes I had to make sure I was wearing comfortable clothes to sue the conditions of our surroundings because one of the scenes was recorded outside. I also had to make sure that my team was ready to proceed with recording and check the actors to make sure their costumes are free of any stains or anything of that sort. I did this to ensure that they were presentable for the recording process. During the recording I made sure to maintain a specific camera angles throughout complete scenes. In the far background of one of the two scenes there was passing cars. As a result I had to record the scenes that focused on the actions of the actors. This was to ensure that the message in the scene was clear. The original plan for the recording process was to use a tripod for recording. However, we decided to record using the phone directly with my hands. I made sure that the background of both scenes or presentable to be used in the music video. I also had to adjust where the camera was placed to make sure the view was correctly adjusted as our actors were different heights. I had to re-record One of the scenes because one of the actors made a mistake in the first shot. overall the process of recording both scenes took about a little over an hour to complete. However, there is a few more recordings to get done before we have finished our commercial. More filming of a few actors in different settings needs to take place before we can start our editing process.
